The
Paint 2005 Network is a BRE
initiative that brings together parties interested in the performance
and improvement of construction coatings from across the supply chain
of coatings manufacturers, constituent manufacturers, timber treaters,
coated timber producers, clients, end users and the public. It is about
collective achievement. The Network will evolve over the coming years,
steered by its membership, until the review year of 2005. This will
be the occasion to assess the impact of the changes and the extent of
improvement in the performance and understanding of construction coatings
that has been achieved.
The
objective of the Network is to provide an interactive Forum for the
rapid and regular exchange of information between members on the new
technology developments, regulations, improved product performance and
client requirements for coatings in construction. Everything from advice
to a house owner on preparing surfaces prior to re-coating to establish
best practice principles in the formulation of semi-transparent wood
stains. A key part of this is improving communication to the end users
of the paints and stains. This is encouraged through the best
practice page on this site.
